as long as you guys are flipping kidding, then keep it up...anything under 5.12 is not even worth breaking down further than the number....no alphabet on 10's and 11's please..just call it 5.11, and tell if you liked it...but when we get into 12's, well, its time to spray...

Definitely solid 8 now that the flake, in the crack, broke off below the crux. On another note, I think the first pitch of Rock Wars is easier than Autumn (IMHO). I usually warm up on Rock Wars before I move to Autumn. That's just my preference.

Hey pigsteak - you're talking about sport climbing, right? There's a big difference between an 8-, 8+, and 9-, 9+ with trad. And with trad there's the added variable of who graded it! 8+ is a well known stiff grade in the RRG. I'd rather lead a bunch of 9's and 10's over some of the 8+'s around here.

Yeah, and while we're at it, why don't we just redo the whole rating system to "5.easy" and "5.pigsteakable"
Just because you're a great climber doesn't mean that those that aren't at your abilities don't like seeing divisions in grades.

....and the WORLD CLASS level climber says:
as long as you guys are flipping kidding, then keep it up...anything under 5.14 is not even worth breaking down further than the number....no alphabet on 12's and 13's please..just call it 5.13, and tell if you liked it...but when we get into 14's, well, its time to spray...
So, now how cool does 5.12 seem piggy?
I have a better idea. Stick with the Yosemite Decimal System as it was put in place.

Good one Ray
By the way... I didn't think trad climbers bickered over grades like sporto's..what's up with this post...it's breaking the mold. Hey maybe all climbers are a like
