I just wanted to take a second and give credit where credit is due. This weekend air canada and I were at Sky Bridge and we ran into Wes, Merrick and four other climbers (sorry, I don't know the names that you use on this board). They were on a climb that I had always wanted to do, but not being a trad climber, couldn't because of lack of gear and knowledge on how to place it. Even though their entire group of six were going to do the climb, the made room for us to work in with them and offered beta when needed. This experience reminded me why I love the Red so much....It's not just the amazing climbing, it is the people who inhabit the cliffs too. Thanks guys, for being so cool and giving me a chance to do a route I probably never would have without you.

No worries. Next time, you can hang the draws on Dave the Dude for me. Just wish you all had time to check out the inhibator as well.

Had a similiar incident this weekend. New at trad and not fully familiar with the style of crack climbing yet, but wanting to do Bedtime for Bonzo. Couple of guys came to the climb right as I was just starting my very nervous attempt. I planned to take a while so I offered to back off the climb and let these guys go ahead up it. We asked if they would trail our rope and setup a toprope for us and without hesitation did so and also helped us get up the second pitch as well. It was great being able to climb and get used to the style without having to place gear. They were a big help and I am very gratefull.

It was fun watching you climb Good Times and I'm happy you got the chance to.

I agree that the climbing community here is great. There are always people willing to let you tag along or help you out any way they can.

I agree that the climbing scene at the Red is thankfully informal and low key, good natured people are refreshing this day and age, kentuckysarah I was wondering if oral sex was your favorite form of birth control if that is not too personal?Do you ever go to Peppers?

that was a very interesting question Crankmas. Are you doing a research paper or was that for your own personal needs?

of trying is I feel more guilty.
