It has come to my attention that me and my friends have been censored on our posts. I understand completely when people dont comprehend/agree with/like our humor. It happens quite often! But i dont know if a complete block of posts being deleted is the way to go about it. On other forums/message boards an option to redflag a post is usually offered this will notify the host of racy material, OR a rating system warning the younger readers that it might be of a blue nature. I think of course there must be control and some sort of safe gaurd against verbal abuse and complete immaturity, But should it be up to ONE person to decide who gets to read what? especially when its a few good friends just goofing around as they always do ( most times infront of a large percentage of the posters here. This site is all about keeping a strong climbing cumminity together and communication between us all. I am not asking for a free for all flame fest ripping people down or just being mean, but friends razzing eachother is what we do at Comps, in the gyms, at the red, and anywhere else. Censoring friendly banter seems wrong to me.
This site delivers a great service to the climbing community and i am thankful for its existance, i intend to frequent this site for a long time to come but i strongly believe some changes need to be made with the censorship of the posters.
perhaps some of you have some ideas for the site hosts and monitors.
p.s it was great seeing everybody at the hangdog comp!!

And it's not just one person making the decisions. There is a group of moderators. The Board Rules that you obviously did not take the time to read wrote: Main Rules-The following apply to the BBS in general:

Shut the fuck up you whiney ass bitch. I think I'm just going to start deleting fuckheads. I'm going to do one per week. If I'm in a bad mood, I may delete two. If I'm in a good mood, I may delete 0. Then, if you have a problem with it, you can contact me personally and we can fucking throw down. Then I'll take the remains of your beaten body and feed them to my dogs. Fuckhead.
Yo Ray jack dynomite! Listen to my beat box! Bew ch ch pff BEW ch ch pfff! Sweet!

Yasmeen, thanks for the post. that clears stuff up. and i am happy to hear that it is not up to one person. But i dont think young'n climbers first reply had anything to do with molestation of anykind ( i might be wrong though he can be sorta vulgar sometimes), nor did 2 of fancy dirts coments. both were deleted... I am not trying to start anything... and i didnt want it to sound as if i was offended by being censored i am just speaking my mind here. and Yasmeen thanks for responding to me in such a respectable manor... wouldnt being an asshole or an asshole type coment fall under what SCIN has just posted ? it remains and me and my buddies get deleted. And as far as not being an asshole, these guys are all my buddies who i climb with 3 times or more a week ( besides young'n climber who we just cant seem to shake! he always finds his way back home) no harm was intended and i am sorry if anybody was actually offended. as far as What the fuck MY problem is" there is no problem. we were not PLANNING to molest a child, nor did we get into any vugar detail. its a very old inside joke between some good friends but things were implied that yasmeen has pointed out that will not be tolorated, and i think we can abide by that. but to cast any judgemnt because certain words were used in a joking manor is just wrong. So lets all drop the overtones and just get back to being a climbing community.
it would seem to me that burning begets burning, so lets all try to respond to posts with some kind of respect for one another. The razzing that took place on the above mentioned post took place between friends who knew it was ment to be funny to eachother. To come at me with the above burning is simply a way to dig a gap further between. You dont know me, you dont know my friends so dont loose your venom on a us.

There's been enough drama on the board and the majority rules: have respect for others. bottom line. Certainly styles of humor are not appreciated, especially if they are degrading and insulting to others. This site was built for a climbing community to talk about climbing. Sometimes it has gotten off tract and has caused undue stress to people. The owners of this site have entrust several others to help moderate this situation and we as a community need to RESPECT that. Now if you need to talk trash to your friends, pick up the phone and call them.
Just genuinely disengenuous.
It takes a lot for a post to get moderated around here. There are some boards where you get banned immediately for posting non-climbing related info. Personally, if I wrote something that got deleted then I'd be apologizing for offending somebody, not whining and drawing attention to it. This board exists because SCIN created it. If you don't like the rules, go post your crap somewhere else.

Did i NOT APPOLOGIZE? hmm lemme go see.... Yup i did! this is what i am talking about folks... perhaps something is lost when reading rather than hearing words but MY posts have been written with a calm and cool feel, i am not trying to start anything here. infact i think i have made it quite clear that i am all for us all getting along... i asked a question, it was answered, we can drop it. adding thoughts afterwards is of course fine but I did appologize and and i have also posted how very greatful i am for this site... so why the hostility?
detract claws kitten, we are all friends here.
