Another death in the Gorge

This weekend we experienced another death in the Gorge. This is the second death in the last few months. In each case a family now mourns the loss of a loved one. A loved one who set off on a fun filled weekend only to have an officer or minister knock on the family’s door to inform them, their son would not be coming home.
Our hearts and prayers go out to these families,
Call your Mom and Dad and tell them, you love them and you are OK (they worry about you constantly).

Unfortunately, this is a different incident that happened last weekend (Nov 16). At this time I don’t have the details.

Sorry, but you're mistaken. This is the same death in both threads.

I went back and checked the dates. Your right. This is the same incident. I thought your thread spoke of the young man who fell from Eagles Nest a few weeks ago. The stats listed in the newspaper article mention 2 deaths this year. I had the two confused, my apologizes for the redundancy.

When I am dead
Cry for me a little
Think of me sometimes
But not too much.
Think of me now and again
As I was in live
At some moments it's pleasant to recall
But not for long.
Leave me in peace
And I shall leave you in peace
And while you live
Let your thoughts be with the living.

O' Great Spirit Whose voice
I hear in the winds,
And Whose breath gives
life to all the world,
hear me! I am small and
weak,I need your strength
and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty,
and make my eyes ever behold
the red purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the
things you have made and my
ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may
understand the things You
have taught my people,
Let me learn the lessons You
have hidden in every
leaf and rock,
I seek strength not to be
greater than my brother,but
to fight my greatest enemy,
myself.
Make me always ready to come
to You with clean hands
and straight eyes,
So when life fades,as the
fading sunset, my spirit may
come to you without shame.
