Can someone please tell me what this troll thing is ?Serious, I would like to know what it is I am being called. I know wanker, poser, chump, fu#$wad, chuffer, gumby, but never heard troll in climbing terms.

when have you heard of wanker? I have never heard that term used climbing, untill my friend Jeremy started using it a year or so back. and I have traveled quit a bit around the US and no one else has ever used the term that i know of. So that means that you are at the red quit often or you have seen my shirts out and about at miguels/TN or there is some small crag that you climb at often that uses this term often that i have never been too. Just wondering where you got the term from

If you have watched, read, or been around climbing more than a year you would have heard wanker. The Real Thing with Moffat and Moon in the early nineties, in most mag rags once a month, in plenty of written stories from climbing’s past. Please don’t be so arrogant that you think you created new climber slang. Class is dismissed and you may return to the short bus.

ok for one, did i say i created it, i merely stated that my friend jeremy started useing it, and for 2 I bet i have been climbing longer than you, and 3 I love riding the short bus It makes me feel all cozey inside and 4 i dont watch climbing videos or read mags, i dont like reading about other accomplishments or hearing all the bullshit spray, and 5 that was a good definition i give you props

I still would like to know what a troll is. And why everyone has to keep flaming on me. I came here to talk about climbing. I may have came across the wrong way. Hopefully I will have the chance to climb with some of you.

SHM if you can handle the life at the Red then you are welcome to climb with any of us. Just note not everyone can "on-sight Convicted" so expect to be the strongest around.
