Why follow the flock ?

I always wondered this and may have read something about it a while back. If you were to take away all the grades and stars from the guide which routes do you think would get climbed and why.

Routes that have an obvious line, interesting looking moves from the ground, and end at a good spot. Routes like To Defy, Eye of the Needle, and Rock Wars are routes that would be classics if nothing more than a name was attached in my mind.

We been calling it adventure climbing for a few years now.The routes arent in the book. Heck they aren't even routes,just something we did cause it was cool.At first we gave them names and ratings,an fa would be cool, but then we ran into FS red tape so now its just somewhere we climbed.No name,not a route.

Obvoiusly, all the routes at the motherlode..........or actually all the routes that we are already climbing!

Why....because they are fun, athletic and challenging. You are just trying to stir shit.

We climb for fun, but apperantly you have some ego issues otherwise your primary goal would not be to be bashing people.

Cracks. Mostly hand and finger cracks, but would follow someone with wide gear up OWs.

And pretty sport routes...you know, the ones you'd like to have a picture of yourself on? Those are good ones.
