I want to get to know my new and ever welcoming climbing community. So I took the time to read a lot of the old posts and have tried to find all the magazine articles I can about the Red. Its an eclectic group of people to say the least. But it made me wonder what the pecking order was for the all around climbing big dog. I’m not even going to try and list the names, I wouldn’t want to leave the non message board reading actually climbing members out of the ranks. I hear about this crazy pretty boy getting on routes no one else would dream of getting on, mainly because they don’t consider slug crawling out a overhanging split in the cliff line climbing. I hear about this skinny, bourbon feed, dog ass munchin, white boy sending shit only one other person has sent. But he was so hung over he don’t remember the moves, so who knows how hard it was. Read a little about these old crusty, beer gut, hop legged bastards putting up FA’s all over the place they swear are classics, damn straight everyone believed them. Most people complain about walking to Roadside nowadays they sure as hell aint going out there. So who is really worth being on the best all around list around this area ?
.......The Mirror said you are, you conceded bastard .
Well i think that's the beauty of the Red. The hard"men" are to busy sending to be strutting around like a chicken spraying. We know who they are and that's good enough.
We all know who you are Stronghandman, there is no use in trying to hide, and act like a rock god, I here by give you the title of rock pussy for now on. So now you can be like everyone else in miguels and spray away, Oh wait you do that anyways FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are talking about the top "all-around" climber this would hands down be the humble Tom Souders. His FA's speak for themselves and he has just returned from an expedition to Cho Oyu.
"Be responsible for your actions and sensitive to the concerns of other visitors and land managers. ... Your reward is the opportunity to climb in one of the most beautiful areas in this part of the country." John H. Bronaugh
Man, every time I get on a crack that has Tom Souders listed I'm like "Oh boy, this is going to be interesting.". I have no clue who he is but I have huge respect for him.
