What do you look for in a route

Post by stronghandman »

When chosing a line, what makes you want to get on that line?

Reason being.I was challenged to come back up here and put up a few lines to show what the SE can bring to the Red. Before I do I want to get a feel of what the locals are looking for.

I want you to put up a route that will best compliment Merrick's cheerleading outfit. Perhaps a south facing Arête.

Who is this crossdressing climber cheerleader. He may be a super freak, but at least someone around here has some balls. Literally, if you blow up the pics you can see his massive bulge.
I want your strong hands to wrap around my testicles like a kung fu warrior in day care. mother@@$@$@.

I thought the 'deal' was for you to put up what YOU think is a good route. You obviously don't like what the red currently has to offer so why would you ask us what we like? I mean considering uz pour, misfooortun-ate, untravel'd climber-folk whoz never experienced a thing beyond the RRG. I mean did anyone else know there were other places to climb in the world?!!! I'm so enlightened!!

So, that said, enlighten the rrg community some more stronghandman!! Scramble down from that high horse of yours for a few hours or days and put up a route for those who would like to climb it and show us what we are missing. :)

As long as it's steep, I will get on it. Monkeys don't climb slabs. I will get on some vert stuff but it really has to inspire me and there are definitely some that do.

You were checking out Merrick's balls? I thought I was getting that macho, I need to defend my sexuality becuase I am gay, sort of vibe from you. I just want you to know that we here at RRC.com love you no matter what your sexual orientation, even though some of our posts seem to say otherwise.

Anyway, I think I might be able to hook you up with Merrick if you want. Do you have any big gear? He's a sucker for big cams and nuts.

I don't know where you'd be planning to put up any new routes SHM but if they're going to be sport either at Murray or on FS land you hopefully have the patience to go through the route approval process?

Since all the posers are waiting in line for the jug hauls, how about finding qualities that people are generally not looking for in a route?

Now if you are a traddie too that changes the picture completely. I think there are maybee one or two aid lines left that haven't been freed?

Now ynot isn’t that a lil prejudice? Every climber that has had an FA at the Red sport or trad has not had the same vision of quality and aesthetics. If that were true we would all still be climbing cavers route with boots on. And forget about sport .As soon as the first sign of lycra and shaved legs popped up they would have stuffed pitons in theirs eyes and hexes in their ass attached with a directional sling and hung em off American Crack to bleed to death. Bro open your eyes and see that everyone doesn’t see and do exactly like you
