FIRST TIME IN THE GORGE

HELLO EVERYONE
im coming first time to the gorge( new and red river)
i would like your help in choosing best guidebooks?
or other suggstions .

also will be happy to get reccomendations about 5/11d - 5/12a good one that worth doing
prefer vertical/ slightly overhang

For the Red I would suggest getting either the South or Miller Fork guidebook for sport climbing. For your first trip I would recommend the South.

Any one of the guidebooks has years worth of climbing in it but for a quick sport climbing trup I would go with the south guide and consult the online guide here for a select few Northern Gorge crags such as Left Flank and Funk Rock. Especially Funk Rock if 12- off vert is your jam. For routes in the South check out Golden Shower, Swedish Fish, Hakuna Matata, Hood Luck, Grippy Green, and Ice Breaker.
