Scary Anchors

I already talked to hamsco about this, but in case someone else is interested in the task, the anchors at the top of Ruby Slippers are about ready to pull out. Loren and I were afraid to even weight them this weekend... I think the rest of the anchors on that wall could use some work too, but Ruby Slippers' anchors were the scariest of the bunch. Not to mention that dead tree dangling from the top of the cliffline... I'd be afraid to belay under that thing as someone was climbing through it!

Oh, and none of the heathy, hippy food crap. The bolt fairies are more into beer and pizza.

Shit Wes! I had a huge natural peanut butter sandwich all made up, with some soymilk to go with it... ah well... into the trash it goes...

The third bolt or hanger on Way Up Yonder is shearing and needs to be replaced. Being able to see the bolt hole in the hanger is not reassuring.

That is a nasty one. I think the 4th one flexed, too. I remember shifting into "don't fall" mode going to the anchors.

If any of the bolt faries want to go with me I'll buy the hardware for the top of Ruby Slippers. I was actually planning on climbing it next time so Yasi I'm really glad you brought it up.

Almost all the bolts and anchors on the Aquaduck Pocket wall at left flank need replaced!

speaking of the area, there are some trees down at the top of Oz.. how long have they been there? to get to the anchors you need to climb under and around some limbs. if something goes, i don't want to be on the rope and i hope my belayer sticks around. what can be done about them?
