Rocktoberfest Reports

Post by captain static »

I guess I'll start it off here. I attended Johnny Faulkner's archaeology demonstration Sat. afternoon w/my son, daugther, & daughter's friend. I was impressed with the many flint points, stone axes, drills, etc. he has madev & the kids enjoyed learning how flint is chipped and getting a try at chopping wood w/a stone axe & fire starting. He also had two hand made bows that were very nice with another in progress. This is someone who not only studies archaeology but also lives it.

At Mark's we enjoyed the food and entertainment. The Pilgrimage was an intese climbing film & it was great to have Katie Brown there. I'm sure a ton of money was raised. I helped man the RRGCC table for a while & sold a number of DVD's both the Red & Pilgrimage.

A great job by all those who helped organize and pull off this event!

The film and Odub were both awesome, and I didn't attend the Climb Like a Girl workshop, but was climbing at Torrent as it was going on, and it seemed like it went really well-- I had a couple friends who attended it and said that Shannon, Rebekah, and Mandy were wonderful.

I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.

A lot of spectators did. Someone will respond I'm sure.
