I know the scheduled opening, but someone told me they drove all the way up to Indian Creek last week, I was a little skeptical. Turned out they meant they just went to the creek Indian Creek, not the crag. Still made me wonder if anyone had heard anything more specific about the schedule for 9B. Idle curiosity more than anything.

I wish it would stay closed indefinitely. It's great to bike back past the gates and have crags all to yourself.

I am def in favor or the gate staying closed! it would avoid areas getting trashed by campers as well and keep the creek looking good for all the work they just put into it!

The flooding in the Red River Gorge area experienced earlier this year has resulted in delays for the Indian Creek restoration project. The anticipated completion date is now spring 2016.

Still closed and I'm still in favor of that gate staying there forever.

Ascentionist, can you elaberate on your methods to climb there. Say you want to climb at purple valley? Do you drive to the gate with your bike, put your pack on and ride to the trail head, ditch your bike and hide it, then hike in?
