Climbing guide needed for 4/19

Post by ETHSCLIMBIN »

Hello. I’m taking a group of twelve high school students to the Red this weekend for top rope sport climbing. Both of the chaperones, myself being one of them, have significant experience leading and lead belaying. Unfortunately, neither of us feels that we will be able to lead anything much harder than a 5.9/10a and some of our kids would like a greater challenge than that.

I have 3 ropes, draws and cleaning equipment, as well as belay devices, shoes, harnesses and helmets for the kids. What I need is someone to put up the ropes for me. We can do the cleaning.

If anyone, please shoot me an email at christiansenb@eths.k12.il.us and give me a quote.

Thanks,
Beth Christiansen

There are quite a few guiding services in the area, use the google machine to find them. And how can one have "significant experience" yet is unable to climb 10a? I've also heard that climbing gyms set harder than 5.10...

My name is Sam Douglass and I love to pose for photo shoots holding on to a jug with only one hand (and no feet!) with my best friend Ian.
