New effort launched today in Muir Valley to treated endangered hemlock trees.

I'm very glad to see this! The rest of the RRG will become a dreary place in the next 10 years :(

Not if more people embrace the ideal that we should all be stewards of this beautiful natural environment down here. Yes, it averages about a buck to treat a tree every 3 to 5 years, so you can't economically treat entire stands. But, there are some majestic hemlocks in some of our rrg climbing areas that it would be a shame to lose. One trained person can treat about 300 trees per day.
