Current rebolting funds
It's spring, which for me means passing around some cash, sort of like paying for an annual gym membership. I'm a little foggy on the current state of rebolting efforts though. Team suck has been around for a long time, and now there is the bad bolts fund. Are these separate pools/efforts, or will a donation to bad bolts get spread around? Just trying to make sure I don't leave anyone out.

I will try to clarify things as best as I can:

Badbolts is strictly an online resource for climbers and developers to report/track bad bolts.

Teamsuck climbing is an initiative that has focused solely on replacing bad fixed anchors (bolts) and accepts donations in support of that.
I am not sure how the funds are used, or who gets them and would suggest that you contact Teamsuck if you have questions. Donations to Teamsuck can be made at:

About a year and 1/2 ago, the Red River Fixed Gear Ethics Initiative was started. The mission of the RRG FGEI mission statement is to Address fixed gear issues of the RRG through education and community driven solutions. The scope of this initiative has included
Maintenance of all Fixed Gear:
a.) community involvement in decreasing aluminum mank and replacing/maintaing/purchasing hardware including steel permadraws. Quick links, steel oval carabiners, and 9/16th wrenches are for sale at the Rockhouse to make the hardware readily available for the community to participate.
New Development:
a.) a partnership between developers and climbers to use stainless steel anchors for new development
Re-bolting
a.) a partnership with the American Safe Climbing Association to provide stainless steel hardware (glue-ins) and materials (epoxy, bits, brushes, nozzles, etc) for re-bolting.
b.) Hardware needed for re-bolting that is not provided by the ASCA is also purchased including quick links and chain for the anchors.
All developers that bolt and/or re-bolt in the Red (including anyone at TeamSuck) are encouraged to use the community and ASCA subsidized funds/donations given to the RRG FGEI. The RRG FGEI uses the Mank Bank for it's vehicle of donation. We are in the process of updating our donation page and it will provide details on much of what was just mentioned above. 100% of donations go to subsidizing stainless steel new development or supporting stainless steel re-bolting (except for chain/quicklinks).
