Here's the line up
The Warrior’s Way Intro to Falling with Arno Ilgner (ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT)
Being effective climbing requires us to understand the consequences of our decisions and actions. In climbing the main consequence is falling. By understanding how to fall we diminish the chance of injury and allow us to focus attention effectively on climbing.
Target student: This clinic is not for beginners who haven’t climbed before. You must have at least 6 months of continuous climbing experience and know the basics knots, belaying, and climbing skills. We’ll do some discussion but the clinic will consist mostly of falling exercises.
Equipment Needed: Harness, shoes, belay device, helmet. Plus draws and a rope (if you have them).
Learn to Lead by Leslie Timms (ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT)
Take your climbing skills to the next level and learn how to lead, follow and clean sport routes. In this course, you will learn:
- skills for leading sport climbs.
- how to evaluate a sport climb.
- how to effectively make each clip.
- how to evaluate fall hazards.
- how to manage fear while leading.
- how to catch and take falls while sport climbing.
Sport and Redpointing with Kevin Wilkinson & Alli Rainey (ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT)
Climbing 5.9 and wanting to improve? This clinic will teach you how to move beyond the plateau. Kevin and Alli will explain the art of choosing a project, how to train for the project, how to safely catch a fall, and more!
Learning to Climb at Your Edges: Pro Tips (from Big Wall Free Climber Madaleine Sorkin) and Dr. T's Behavioral Intervention Techniques
Madaleine and Dr. T will give a female perspective of both pro tips and behavioral intervention techniques for the women who want to further investigate their uncomfortable edges as a way to understand/open to their individual process as a means to bring their full-self to their climbing performance.
Footwork and Technique with Nick Duttle
Learn to rely less on brute strength and more on finesse, balance and technique. Believe it or not, you can cheat gravity with the right body position, footwork and relaxed grip. In this course, you will learn:
- how to position yourself in such a way that balance and body position take precedence over
strength.
- how to use your feet more effectively.
- how to evaluate slabs and how to move fluidly over them.
- techniques for smearing, edging, and jamming your feet.
- how to develop a “full-body” philosophy for climbing.
- how to choose appropriate climbing shoes for different climbing venues.
- control your fear while climbing on varied terrain.
Quick Fix Techniques - How to get out of a Jam taught by AMGA Guide and athlete Karsten Delap
What do you do when you’re cleaning a route and your locking biner gets stuck and you cannot seem to get it open? What do you do when a bit of hair gets stuck in your rappel device? How do you get back on the rock when your feet are dangling in space and you cant quite reach the roof – and your partner is belaying from above? Karsten Delap of Fox Mountain Guides will answer these questions and more. He will give you quick fix techniques for some of the most annoying and troublesome problems that arise in climbing.
Advanced Climbing - with Sam Elias
Are you stuck at climbing 5.12 and looking to push your limits and break into 5.13 and beyond? Sam Elias will share with you the habits he's learned from some of the best climbers in the world. Not only how to train to push past your plateau, but how to structure your climbing day, how to approach hard redpoints, and the mental space needed to climb to your potential.

Multipitch Efficiency with Brittany Griffith (CLOSED)
This is your chance to learn muti-pitch systems with a focus on equipment, route-finding, belaying, safety, and speed. Multipitch systems can be incredibly complex, and the best way to refine your skills is to examine each part of the system by itself.
In this course, we will do just this: look at every element of your system and help you to make it better. On this course, we do not climb a multi-pitch route, but use a ground school to practice the specific systems required to climb a multi-pitch route effectively. Once you have completed this course, you will be able to take the skills learned in this setting and apply them to long multi-pitch climbs. In this course, you will learn:
- How to set-up an anchor effectively for a multi-pitch climb.
- How to use an autoblocking device appropriately.
- How to strategize a multi-pitch climb using either the “lead-swapping” technique or the “block-
pitches” technique.
- Where to put your second in order to make an effective and quick transition.
- Tricks for speed transitions. ? How to read and interpret a multi-pitch topo.
- How to strategize for a long day out on a multi-pitch climb.
- Rappelling techniques and strategies for multi-pitch rappels.
