If any of you, like me, have decided to divide your time between multiple outdoor sports (thereby dividing your proficiency at each of them by the same factor) and are into trail running, check this out:

50K and 1/2 marathon options. Distances probably approximate. Free to run (though you should be a good Kentuckian and make a donation), free Miguel's pizza afterwards. I'll be there representing team Stoke Thrash, running somewhere far behind you, perhaps distributing my half-digested breakfast on the side of the trail.

All signed up. Had previously chosen the half but may bump up to the 50k because I'm an idiot. Not that the 50k runners are idiots; just those like me who have been training for a half marathon length and are nowhere near being ready to run 50k.

I would also add that the Sheltowee Trace Association Conference (http://www.sheltoweetrace.org/) will be September 28th from 9 until 5 at the Morehead Conference Center in Morehead, Ky. That's next weekend.
