this thread is WRONG. Booty is booty. If you find a piece on a route, it's yours to keep - unless of course there was an accident or something. If you don't want to lose your gear, learn how to down-climb-aid or beg someone harder to retrieve it for you (I've done both!).

Stuff found laying around the bottom of routes or on the trails or wherever is another story. The rightful owners should be found. Speaking of which, a pair of shoes were found at Global Village on Saturday. They are at Miguel's.
