Caribe, he was openly prejudiced towards other's views of thinking. There is no way I would call him a dick, just that he is a little narrow-minded. I am not a republican. I do believe in a higher power though. I was offended by his prejudice in general though. There is no way that I would select climbing partners based on political preference or religious views.

Ha ha, I am being light-hearted about this. I don't think bible-thumper means Christian. It could mean someone who is always thumping on the bible to make a point or it could mean someone who is always thumping you with the bible. If evangelical Hindus were a problem in these parts and if the poster had a bad experience with them, I could understand the caveat that he/she would not want to climb with a Hindu set on converting him/her.

Yes, I invite them to enter my parlor to defend their views. Religious and nationalistic people often take offense to any critique of their thought process though.
