Due to severe flash flooding Thursday night through Muir Valley, the Emergency Road was badly washed out in five areas. After two days with excavation equipment, this road was re-opened on Sunday and is back in good condition. After more rain last night, the creeks are still swollen, and the creek crossing to the south end climbs (Bruise Bros, Sunnyside, Hatton Hollow, Practice Wall, Washboard Wall) cannot be safely accessed by wading. Please use the new steel bridge to the right of the boulder crossing point. Although not complete, it is fully functional at this time. A sign at the base of the main trail will direct you there. The access road to Muir and both parking lots have been repaired to excellent condition.
