I have just been informed via email that the digital restoration of the classic film El Capitan has finally been completed (almost six months later than initially estimated) and that copies will be mailing to project donors very soon. Cool, it's been almost nearly 40 years since I've seen the film and can't wait to see it again.

I was fortunate enough to see it last year with a talk from Glen Denny before hand. It was amazing.

Holler at Fred Padula (you'll need a Kickstarter account) and see if you can still donate to the project, even though it's over. Hopefully it's not too late!

A recent update on the project wrote:Since the Kickstarter funding closed in October, I have been receiving a lot of requests to buy El Capitan. As you all know, this over whelmed one-man operation has been running behind schedule from the beginning, and not much thought has been given as to how El Capitan will be distributed.
But I have been adding people’s names to a list, and as soon as I complete the Kickstarter awards distribution, I will deal with how to distribute the film, and then contact everyone on the list.
