So as soon as I got the new guide, I did what any true chuffer would do: I started looking for my name in the book. Luckily for me, I only have one FA, so it doesn't take long. As I opened the RRG South Guide, I quickly turned to the Natural Bridge Section, found Roadside, and a few page flips later, there it was. Or actually wasn't. My one FA in 20 years of climbing was replaced with the words "FA UNKNOWN".
Since Chunnel is known as the "La Dura Dura of the East", I feel it is important that this mistake be corrected. I mean, tens of thousands of people flock to the gorge every year. Don't you think most will be dying to see this rarely attempted climb at the very back of a closed crag? Come on, Ray!!!
I would like to offer a solution: a mandatory, nation-wide recall on all of the RRG South Guidebooks. I anxiously await your reply.
Love,
lee

Re: Likely Recall of 4th Edition RRG Guide
That is interesting, because I am demanding a mandatory recall also. I clearly recall all my routes being 5 stars when I climbed them, but upon looking at the new guide book some were listed as 4 stars, and I was dismayed that a few were 3 stars. This was obviously a mistake by the printer as no human would give my routes less than 5 stars and really they probably deserve more than that.

There is also a note in the front stating that Jonathan Siegrist did the FA of The Golden Ticket along with 24 Karats and Pure Imagination

I want it recalled as well. I got my South book today and it has North on the cover and all this trad crap in it. What a sham.

The pages of mine stick together - I do not know why.

Aw man, Lee. I'm so sorry. Those jackasses closed Roadside so I figured it didn't make any sense to even look at it for changes. Would you consider maybe changing your name to "Unknown" until the 5th edition comes out?

How about I change my name to Ray Ellington instead?? Plenty of FAs I could spray about then!ray wrote:Aw man, Lee. I'm so sorry. I want to know why there is no picture of me pissing on the holds of southern smoke direct. I request that picture be on the cover but the author told me there was doing to be a picture of Harry Potter with a cock ring on instead.
I love jugs

Just got mine today... and I'm psyched!!
I must say, however, I'm surprised that Dogleg is still on the 20 Untrodden Classics list... I've seen lines to get on that thing... I wouldn't call it "untrodden" any more.
All-in-all, though, I'm very pleased... I'm also happy to see that $.50 is going to RRGCC and to FOMV! So, that's $1 to each since I bought both volumes. I'm happy to see this.
