can I? I was gonna climb all day on my long standing projects with people I really enjoy climbing with, but putting up easy routs for you to top rope thrash on is a much better alternative. I can even teach you how to belay and check for bad gear placements

If you're looking for a rope gun, why would it matter if it's sport or trad?

Ken, Krampus asked a very logical question. Why not just lead what you can lead? Look for a peer so you can develop your skills and enjoy the process. Do you think these rope guns are looking for rope guns to be able to climb harder? Do you think that they ever did? I miss the good old days when I was scared shitless.
You are not the victim of duchbagery here. You are the one who miss-stepped.
If you truly are a beginner, consider hiring a guide with the expressed desire to learn how to rock climb, instead of putting someone else in the hands of newbie belayer.

Your right.. i corrected my previous statement.. I was just looking for a partner for the day that could show me around a little bit.. maybe an area i hadnt been and someone that could put up a line or two to test my abilities.. We have been climbing in the sub .7 range on gear and i was hoping to get on something a little more challenging or maybe hit a few .8/.9 sport lines and not worry about having to leave gear behind if i couldnt tag the top..
