Cromper, no need to buy the Northern region if you have a the current copy. Nothing new there, well almost.Cromper wrote:2 books eh? I've heard the rumor but shit... Thats one way to get an extra 10 bucks.

The sections which had to be pulled from the 3rd Edition due to size restrictions have been put back into the North volume. Plus there are several new lines included.
Dividing the book into two volumes had to be done to prevent the cost of a single edition from being too high.

Not true. There are new routes at Dip Wall, Lower Small Wall, Eastern Sky Bridge, Eagle Point Buttress, Funk Rock City, Camp Store Crag, Long Wall, & perhaps others I left out. That said, if you don't plan on climbing trad up north, then you're right you probably don't need it. $40 is fairly standard for a new climbing guide these days, and I am really SIKED that the old traditional crags are back in print again. Still, no doubt Dave planned ahead and printed a LOT more copies of the Southern guide!climb2core wrote:Cromper, no need to buy the Northern region if you have a the current copy. Nothing new there.

Yeah, my bad. That was a sportcentric answer.
