Some folks are getting together, hopefully for some technical mountaineering if the weather holds, near RMNP next weekend, 9/19 thru 9/21. People going have expressed interest in Petit, Hallet's, Shark's Fin, the Diamond, and either Lumpy or Eldo as a fallback, but it'll depend mostly on the weather.
If things go perfect I'd like to do Kiener's but with so many people involved, the choice for others is pretty wide open.
I have the option to drive out early and return late, and am looking to hook up with anyone wanting to hike, climb or BP Tuesday thru Thursday next week, 9/16 thru 9/18, and Monday thru Wednesday the following week, 9/22 thru 9/24. I also have room for one plus gear from Indy and points west along I-70.
I have a light rock rack, ropes and points, no snow or ice pro, lead 5.2 and follow 5.8, prefer fun 3rd class but I'm not picky, just want to get out and enjoy the aspens and altitude before the snow gets heavy. Post here if you're interested.

I know you've missed class before due to excessive keggars the preceeding night.
C'mon, miss some more in a good cause and get into some real mountains.
I know you want to.

I'm from Indy, DaggerX. It's about a 23 hour drive plus any racktime if I pull over to sleep. I usually try to drive straight through. Either way you have to get some sleep sometime, but once you're there, the downtime counts towards acclimatization.
I wouldn't drive that far for one day's climbing. Right now it looks like I'll leave Tuesday morning, hook up with a guy from Colorado Springs for a cleanup project and keggar in Boulder on Wednesday, get up something before the weekend, then whatever the weather lets us do this weekend. Maybe some third class and altitude with another attendee early-mid part of next week and then back home.

I need to get back down to the Red Gretchen, and it's getting to be a good time of year to do it too. Unfortunately y'all set the fest on a vis weekend but I'm still going to try and get down before the snow flies.
I'm picking up little clues here and there that you and that demon BB have spawned, is this true? Not sure the world is ready for the genetic implications, but congrats anyway!
When is the happy day?
PS...was doing a couple 2 finger (on each hand) pullups and something sort of twanged in my left palm. Now there's a little soreness in between my palm and first knuckle on the middle finger. Did I do what I'm fearing I did? it's a little swollen but I think I could pull down on it...how easy should I take it till I figure out what I did to it? Tape help? Stay off it till it's perfect? I'd appreciate a little guidance here if anyone has experience.
