Partner wanted: Visiting RRG for the 1st time, 18th-21st May

Post by Ally Smith »

Hi all.

I've made arrangements to travel to RRG for a long weekend whilst in the US with work.

I'm looking for a partner(s) for friday through monday 18th to 21st May. I'm hoping to experience some of the world famous steep sandstone sport climbing anywhere in the F6a-8a range (5.10-5.13 in your money?)

I'll be hiring a car from the airport so will be happy to give lifts, and will bring a rope and draws with me.

Does anyone have tips as to where is best to find partners? Rock up at a popular crag? (which one?) Or is there a campsite/hang-out where i'd find someone at the start of the day?

Thanks in advance,
Ally

You'll find partners most easily at Miguel's Pizza and campground: http://g.co/maps/5gh7d. We'll be climbing at least one day during that period and you're welcome to join us.

English chicks are often very attractive. Notice I did not refer her to LOTA.

Just had an entertaining read of this: Ally is short for Alastair, so you'd be in for a suprise if you met me and were expecting a lass to turn up!

Thanks for the info and offers of partners; hopefully i'll see some of you in a fortnights time.

I'll be stay at Miguel's during that time and would be happy to climb some of those days with you depending on my rest days. I used to live close by and know the area really well.
