Two members of the new Access Fund Conservation Team will be leading a Trail Day at Muir Valley Sunday and Monday, May 6th and 7th. Adam Beck and Karsten Delap of Fox Mountain Guides will be presenting a free anchoring clinic at 8 a.m. They will be presenting tips and tricks in building and cleaning top anchors. Sunday with Trail Day starting at 9 a.m. Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School (http://foxmountainguides.com/) will also be presenting two $50.00 gift certificates at a drawing among the volunteers. Land of the Arches Campground (http://landofthearches.com) offers a free night's camping for each day volunteered at Muir Valley. Meet in the parking lot at Muir.

Reminder: Access Fund Trail Days at Muir Valley this Sunday and Monday. Free anchor cleaning clinic by Fox Mountain Guides for Trail Day volunteers in the shelter at the Muir parking lot at 8 a.m. Sunday. Trail work starts at 9:00 a.m. both days.

Don’t miss this opportunity to demonstrate to the Access Fund that the climbers at Muir and the other climbing areas in the Red River Gorge are worthy of the outstanding support they have given us. It is also a chance to learn trail building techniques from the experts.

If you can’t make it to the Muir Trail Days there is also an opportunity to volunteer in the southern region on Saturday. Meet in the Sore Heel parking lot at 9:00 a.m. for that one.
