Were there a lot of people? Was a lot of money raised?

We raised a little over $200 in Lexington, I don't have the totals other places though. Still, considering the small turnout, it was a lot of fun and had a pretty good impact. A lot of kids were asking me about it and two had read the article and showed up with a $20 donation from their parents. That was the highlight of my day. They were 12-year-old boys. Woohoo! Umm, and I don't mean in a perverted kinda way.

I was the only climber participating in the event at RQ and I had raised $300. There was another person who had signed up but they hadn't showed up at the gym before I left.

Static was the only climber at RQ but there was some cash donation. Thanks Static for a good showing!

The climb-a-thon is a great idea. It seems like if you run it again on a non-holiday weekend in mid-winter, and promote it well in advance it will be an even bigger success!

That being said, yeah, I learned an important lesson, never believe that it's too hot and rainy to climb outside No really, we are going to run the next series in December or January. My vote is for January. That way it'll be cold, no holidays in the near future and everyone will be depressed. Woohoo!

Next time it should be based on $$$ per foot with a minimum of $200. I actually climbed over 300' on Saturday. Trying to get my endurance up for my upcoming trip to Estes in 2 wks. for the Access Fund LCO summit.
