She's very lucky she survived the fall, and that a large group of WFR's were there! I hope she recovers quickly.

I was kinda thinking the same thing... maybe she was by herself when she fell? or maybe they meant 1.5hrs?

She fell at night and was there for 15 hours before they found her.

Good thing the Gettysburg group didn't listen to me. They were put in contact with me for suggestioons on where to conduct their outing. When they asked about Indian Staircase I tried to steer them away due to the fire damage on top and the fact that any good trees for anchoring are now a considerable distance away from the cliff edge. I suggested the ledge routes at Eagle Point Buttress.

Back when I was in college, two friends of mine rescued a girl who fell off the cliff on the other side of the canyon from Indian Staircase. They had to do a considerable amount of bushwhacking to get to her. She was lucky because both of my friends were experienced in first aid. The woman puked all over the back seat of their car on the way to the hospital. Her boyfriend was nice enough to pay to have their car cleaned.
