"The List"

So it seems that taking down all the steel perma-draws just isn't going to happen. If that's the case, then lets put a list together of routes that get equipped (with steel only) and routes that don't. From reading through all the topics relating to this, it seems like there is a concensus on this much, at least:

Routes To Equip:

From Transworld to Resurrection.

Feel free to help create "The List"... Rules:
1) You can only add a route that's in the Southern Region.
2) Obviously, routes at Roadside or at any of the Forest Service Crags can not be on the list.
3) I think that The Webers have the perma-situation in Muir Valley pretty much figured out, so we don't need to add routes in Muir Valley. If I'm wrong, let me know.

Let's see if we can't be civil and come to some sort of concensus of which routes we want to equip (and therefore, actively maintain as a community)...

Edit the list, such as I just did above... and lets try to keep a running total of the number of routes we are equipping, this will just give us a reality check so that we can see if the list is getting out of hand.

What is a realistic number based on equipment already purchased and/or amount of money per bolt?

Drive by
Beer Belly to Kaledescope minus the business(not that steep and sucks)

Shady Grove
Only taste the Rainbow

Purgatory
none, maybe paradise because it is a little steeper and angles

gold coast solar
none, maybe black gold because of it angles and is a little steeper

Darkside
Grippy Green only
Total # of Routes: 21

hahaha like the dark side list. bad idea to equip black gold, the draws would get super rusty fast in that water streak in winter/spring (they are not SS).

On routes such as Paradise...maybe equip the first 3 with PD's...then simply z-lower off of the PD's when cleaning and not have to take the giant swing.

I liked the idea that someone put forward about just leaving 1 or 2 biners halfway, then also at the top. No need to equip an entire route.

Before this list and these negotiations mean anything at all, you have to stop the autocrats. The list will be used by them as a guide to remove draws.

This whole perma draw thing is nuts! If this much effort was Put into finding and securing climbing areas we could have added hundreds of routes to the red that would be open forever. Instead you are all waisting time bitching about something that is going to solve nothing!

Please stop waisting time trying to put an end to perma draws.

Go on a walk, find more rock and help secure it. perma draws are a part of sporting climbing. Get over it.

Exploration and development is a part of sport climbing. Get on it!!

Bentley... Wasnt that your abandoned gear on Taste the Rainbow? I appreciate the work u do and I agree about perma draws but the other side of the coin that needs to be addressed is abandoned gear.
