More break-ins at the Lode, several car windows busted but the unlocked cars were not damaged (I'm sure the goods were stolen, though).
Leave your doors unlocked and don't leave any valuables in your cars.

Just curious, what time did you become aware of the break-ins?

Re: Break-In at the Lode - 9/28/2011
I was leaving the PMRP around 3:15-3:25pm on 9/28/11 and noticed a really suspicious looking couple (man & woman, mid 30's to early 40's, white). They were walking down the gravel road, between Philz Snack Shack and the top of the Lode hill parking spots.
The woman was in front and she smiled and waved, the man was walking behind her and he smiled at us too, but he was carrying some sort of old gardening tool, looked like a big garden hoe on an axe handle, like something you'd break up ground with. It might have been a mattock but whatever it was it was worn and looked old.
I only saw them briefly but they looked local, wearing dirty clothes and looking pretty haggard. They were disheveled locals, the woman's face was particularly haggard, probably years of alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc. She had below-shoulder-length dirty brown hair, he had shorter dirty brown hair and some messy facial hair. I don't remember what they were wearing and I don't think I could identify them again. I only had a passing glance as we drove by, I looked first at the woman and then at the tool the man was carrying.
In hindsight, I really wish I'd notified the police since I was aware of break-ins in the area, and they definitely looked like trouble, but a lot of the Kentucky people I see wandering around look kinda suspicious (sorry for generalizing) so my partner and I made a joke about them farming marijuana and kept going. In any event, I regret not doing something more after I saw them, and after seeing this topic I apologize to those who were possibly affected by this nefarious pair. But please note before anyone starts beating up every local Kentucky couple out for a stroll, I am NOT sure that these are the culprits, but at the very least it's something to keep an eye out for.

Dude, that is so racist.
Re: Break-In at the Lode - 9/28/2011
Ever consider they might be out digging roots? I'm pretty sure I'd rather kick your ass, Foster.
"You're a long way from home now, Buddy" - Ted kindly pointing out a ran out mess.
Re: Break-In at the Lode - 9/28/2011

Don't like you talkin bout my wife that way either.

I was leaving the Marriot around 3:15-3:25pm on 9/28/11 and noticed a really suspicious looking couple (man & woman, mid 30's to early 40's, white). They were walking down Jefferson Street, between Fourth Street Live and the top of the parking spots near the hall of Justice.
The woman was in front and she smiled and waved, the man was walking behind her and he smiled at us too, but he was carrying some sort of old briefcase, looked like a big satchel on an leather handle, like something you'd break ground with. It might have been a Samsonite but whatever it was it was worn and looked old.
I only saw them briefly but they looked local, wearing business suits and looking pretty haggard. They were upper middle class locals, the woman's face was particularly haggard, probably years of alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc. She had below-shoulder-length dyed blond- brown hair, he had shorter graying brown hair and some messy facial hair. I don't remember what they were wearing and I don't think I could identify them again. I only had a passing glance as we drove by, I looked first at the woman and then at the briefcase the man was carrying.

Foster... Are you kidding? You want to call the cops on a couple of people, because they look like they are from Kentucky, IN KENTUCKY?
Would you go to Africa and call the cops on every black person you see too?
