By an average firm mattress and this... save yourself $500+

Had mine for over a year and it made and uncomfortable firm bed really good.

My back used to hurt me anytime I slept more than 6 hours. Now I have a memory foam matress (tempurpedic) and my back never hurts. Seems worth the extra cash.

we bought a generic Temperpedic and I haven't woke up with a sore back since. it was ~$600 for a queen, a real one would have been $2k

Tempurpedics are sweet! Mine may be my favorite thing I've ever purchased.

My back pain was so bad and I went through a medium grade mattress and a tempurpedic before going with a firm sealy posturpedic with a pillow top and finding true bliss (talk to Ray about how much he *loved* me for this crazy fiasco of a ride). I added a padded mattress cover for extra fluff, down pillows (optimal if you have neck pain), and have finally found the best sleep setup I've ever had. The mattress set was like $1500 or so but with a sale you can get a little cheaper. It's worth it though.

One thing I hate about tempurpedics is how hot they get. Any of you tempurpedic owners experience this? I think you can put a mattress pad on it to help but that kind of defeats the purpose?
