ISO Partner from Labor Day to Sept 20th

Hi. I just moved to Cincinnati. I don't have any commitments until Sept 21st (except Sept 15th), and would like to get in as MUCH climbing as I can at the Gorge before then. I plan on camping out there as long as I can continue to find partners. Safety is my highest priority, and I hope to find a partner or partners that take it seriously, too. I've been climbing for just over four years. I'm into both sport and trad, but I'd prefer to focus on sport considering the area. Depending on the area, I on-sight low 11's and redpoint low 12's (3-5 tries?).

Looks like the weather could be rainy this week, so I'd prefer partners that don't mind getting on steep stuff/rain sheltered stuff.

If you can't get out, feel free to share beta on finding safe partners at Miguel's.

After Sept 21st, I'll become a weekend warrior.

Thanks everyone!

-Joel Andersen

Yeah, Cromper, I start grad school at UC on the 21st. Nice catch :D I spent a few weeks here a couple years ago, so I know a couple climbers from UC (uh, two, haha). I hope to meet a good group!

Hi,

I'm not sure what an ISO partner is, but I'm assuming you want to do routes at the Gorge. If you are an international sex offender, then I can't help you.
I've been climbing for about ten years, but am unfortunately still climbing in the .12's range (trad a bit lower). Will probably be staying at a friend's place and arriving Monday evening. Would like to hit up the 'Lode, Midnight surf, and wherever else is steep enough to stay dry.

Lemme know how we can meet up if you'd like a solid partner.

Cheers,
Tony

ha, yeah, you're either a global threat to virginity or a lonely climber...

"in search of", wasn't that a series narrated by Leonard Nimoy? .. could explain a lot.

Well, you can rest assured that I'm not a sex offender (much less one having achieved international status). From the looks of things, I'll probably be planning on going down tomorrow and coming back up to Cinci the same night. I have to take care of some things on Tuesday, but hopefully I can have them done early enough to head back down and climb on Tuesday. Otherwise, I'll be available for climbing on Wednesday and after that.

I am going to take him out tomorrow. So I will let you all know if if he is an international sex offender or just a regular one.

I'd like to think I achieved the ranks of international sex offender, but I'll leave it to Andrew to decide. :D

Unfortunately, despite all my hints, he never sexually offended me. So he is neither an ISO or an SO, but he is a good belayer and climbing partner.
