We are proud to announce that the 8th Annual Muir Valley Trail Day is set for September 24th, and registration is now live on http://www.friendsofmuirvalley.org! Registration before August 31st secures your FREE volunteer t-shirt, and will also help us in meal planning, as lunch and dinner are provided. A vegetarian option is available.

Last year we were overwhelmed by your response, with over 135 volunteers, and we hope to make this year even better. Once again, we will be calling upon the climbing community and friends to help maintain and improve the land we know and love. Projects this year will include trail maintenance, invasive/noxious plant control and removal, bridge and stair repair/construction, watershed and erosion control, and enhancements to our emergency response system.

We hope to see you all out on Saturday, September 24th for Trail Day! Don't forget to register by August 31st to secure your FREE volunteer t-shirt!

Reminder: Don't forget to pre-register at http://www.friendsofmuirvalley.org/?page_id=37 for the Muir Valley Trail Day, which is September 24th. Volunteers pre-registered by August 31 get a free Friends of Mluir Valley tee shirt.

I've recently just moved to the area (well, Cincinnati). Sounds like a good way to meet people, and earn my usage of the area!

Invasive, non-native plants such as Japanese stilt grass, pampas grass, Japanese honeysuckle, and multiflora rose, as well as watching for kudzu.

Noxious plants such as poison ivy and Hurcules club (along trails).

Any suggestions?
