Bees/Hornets at Left Flank
Bees/Hornets at Left Flank
Felt it was worth giving other folks a heads up- there's a pretty substantial nest of bees/ground hornets in the rocks directly at the base of Face Up to That Crack, the mixed 5.8- at Left Flank. We went there yesterday (Sunday) afternoon around 4 and got literally swarmed... completely prevented that route/Fast Food Christians/Mr. Bungle from being doable. Might be a waste of a post, but maybe someone would like to know!

Jamelyn, you are supposed to run in with your arms flailing in wild circles to scare them off. Show no fear!!!
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

I hear that they feed on cicadas - this is the primo time of year for both of them. Hate those friggin things. I got the bee-jeezus stung out of me at jatd last year then got poison ivy and ended up at the drs office before it was all through - fuckin things.
