In the future please notify us so that we can put a warning sign in the area and remedy the situation as soon as possible.
As a reminder to you and to other visitors to Muir Valley - by signing the release to be able to climb at Muir, you agreed to follow the posted rules, one of which is:
“If I am involved in an accident involving injury or observe any unusual hazard during my visit to Muir Valley, I agree to bring such accident or hazard to the attention of Muir Valley, LLC immediately by contacting Rick Weber at richardhwebeer@gmail.com or 317 291-0354 or 606 668-9066.”
Posting on a public forum in not an effective way of notifying us of an urgent situation. We frequently do not read this forum.
Above “Rising” at the BruiseBrothers Wall, there remains a large limb (300 lbs) tenuously hanging 60 feet overhead. Please stay away from this area until we can remove it – hopefully today.
As a caution to climbers throughout the Red, unusually heavy rains this spring loosened many rocks and trees at the top of clifflines. All climbers should be especially aware of the risk falling objects from above.

Falling Tree Warning at Muir (BruiseBrothers)
In case anyone missed the warning about a falling tree at Bruise Brothers Wall at Muir Valley, that morganj8 posted (erroneously) under Web Stuff, I'll repeat my response and warning here.
Re: Falling Tree Warning at Muir (BruiseBrothers)
Climbs on Bruise Brothers wall are again open to climbing. Rick, with help from three volunteers, got both the large limb that was hung up 60' over Rising and the pine tree hanging over Rat Stew down. Thanks to Cliffton, Brad, and Brian, who worked in the rain to help get these hazards removed.

Stephanie kindly brought to my attention the fact that I had misspelled Rick's email in the message where I gave contact information to report any unusual hazards at Muir Valley. His email is RichardHWeber@gmail.com.
Thanks. Stephanie.
