When are you going to free climb El Cap? I thought you had some plans a few years ago, but I never saw you there...
Any ways, Madaliene is rad, and Mikey does great work! Go see this show!

The 5.14 goal is first on the list, so in a few years. I can do that when I'm old.

Yeah! Let me know when you try... I think Free Rider will be no problem... Hell it is only 5.12c, and it has the Monster OW, which will be no problem for you after all that sport climbing...
Clown!

Free Rider is 13a now since the jug flake broke on the crux pitch and you have to do the Teflon Corner. Agree with everything else in your post though!

Naa. I have talked to people that have done the Teflon corner. Still 12c, it is just not as secure. The boulder problem still goes, but it may be 5.13ish... It has been done since the hold broke...

Rockclimbing is rockclimbing. Sorry if I don't share in your delusions that 5.12 cracks are harder than 5.12 sport. Frankly, I would venture the opposite. I also apologize that I don't find you any cooler because you can hang in aiders and erector set your way up a wall. Fat guys and grandmas can do that just as well. What I am impressed with is your level of ridiculousness. Its reached unmatched heights.

Disagree. I can't speak for the 12+ range regarding trad, but the majority of the 12a to 12c sport routes in the Red would be 11b to 11d in Yosemite (or Eldo or the Gunks, for that matter), especially the techier vertical stuff--and I've climbed 10x more trad than sport. The cracks here are largely about a number grade inflated too (or sandbagged in the Valley, whichever).

And isn't the Monster Offwidth pitch only 10d or 11a or something? Surely a hardened yosemite veteran like yourself can't still be afraid of offwidths??
