The only big issue with spending money on toilets is you now have the recurring cost of maintaining them.

From reading the grant description, it just sounds like one of those self-composting toilets in the southern region would be a very serious contender for that money. I can't imagine many places that could put the money to better use.

I thought I recalled reading (on here) about a toilet that composted the waste itself, but they were expensive.

they are much lower maintenance but still not free of it. defiantly a good way to go though.
