Has anyone ever tried this rope?? The Tendon Company used to be Lanex. They use a "teflon nanotechnology" to better protect/waterproof (so they say) the rope. forums on rc.com speak well of the brand but i was hoping someone might have tried the ""'Tendon Ambition 9.8'""

Are you Canadian or did they start distributing them in the US?

I've had several Lanex/Tendon ropes over the years (Including the one you ask of) and was very satisfied with them.

they have the 9.8 60m($162) and the 10.4 on sierratradinpost now. and gearx.com has an edelweis Rocklight 9.8 60m for $93.

I just got 2 tendon Smart 9.8mm lites off the clymb (they messed up my order and sent two). I'm taking them to the gorge this weekend. I'll post again after I try them out. www.theclymb.com sells them for $120. Ropes work great. Really nice through my grigri 1. Smooth and the auto lock function was able to get a full bite even tho its a 9.8. I have read that grigri 1's can slip a little on a 9.8.
