Charting U.S. Airstrikes in Pakistan

Note particularly, the number of strikes since 2008. "Ain't nothing as peaceful as a dead Taliban" - BHO.
"For a Noble Peace Prize winner, I kind of like the cut of this man Obama's jib" - LKD.

any conclusions rest completely on the primary sources for the data, which the authors acknowledge is far from being perfect/accurate.

Also, it's either really misleading (or just sloppy) to title a graph "2004-2011" (for the data set) when the authors acknowledge underneath that "Data for 2004 and 2005 are not available at this time."

Give Obama credit - he has been aggressive on this war. It is the only thing I can think of he has done right...

This agreement specifically addressed strikes against top al Qaeda leaders inside Pakistan, but it seems reasonable that something like it covers US strikes against Afghani Taliban inside Pakistan:

Here's some in depth analysis of that agreement:

While Pakistan's military and intelligence service clearly have problems in terms of who knew about bin Laden and who was clueless, it turns out that a fair number of US military trainers were teaching at the Abbottobad military school while bin Laden was a short walk away and didn't seem to notice anything either:

Better to see airstrikes in pakistan than invading other random countries that have nothing to do with AQ.
