From what I understand, Hester's(?) is the best gym in Louisville for bouldering. Is this true?

Also, does anyone know of some good restaraunts in Louisville?

Thanks.

SCIN, I haven't been to Hester's yet, but that's the overwhelming concencous and I plan to check it out soon (if my plastic aversion permits).

So what kind of food do you like? There are a ton of GREAT restaurants on and around Bardstown Road. Hamsco can give you the A list! You taking us all out?

I like Ramsi's Cafe. It is located on Bardstown Rd and has dishes from all over the globe. Great value for the money as well.

Lynn's Paradise Cafe is an interesting place to visit if you want basic home style cooking. Portions are huge!

Hester's has great bouldering however the gym is rather small. Rocksport has much more wall space and the route setters have been doing a good job of rotating the routes.

Yeah, GWG, Ramsi's is great! Prepare to wait in line, but they will come get you at the bookstore next door and I think the wait is worth it. There's a place which I think is even better nearby(?) called Jicama Grill. They call it "nuevo latino" cuisine. I like Lynn's for breakfast. YUM!

I've only been to Rocksports twice, but as I recall, there is very, very little bouldering.

Hester's has some good bouldering walls/cave, although I have no idea what setting or lack of is like. I was there for a comp that Nick, Dave and Mat set at.

Are you going to be downtown? If so, there is a pretty good mexican place downtown accross from the theater, and another pretty cool place next to the theater, bistro something.

There is also a pretty good place accross the street from the convention center, neat the old spagettii factory. Can't remember the name, but the food and beer was pretty good.

Oh, and don't forget O'mallay's corner for your clubbing needs.

Jack Fry's on Bardstown Rd. is really, really good. If you like steak, they can hook you up.
