Okay, folks, several of you pointed out mistakes in the guidebook to me over the past weeks. I asked each of you to message me since I can't possibly keep all the feedback straight, but have only heard from 2 of you. Please send me those corrections/updates and I will enter them.

To those of you who have sent them along already, thank you. I will make the changes shortly.

I just got a message that
Centerfire (at Torrent) is rated 5.11c and Receiver is rated 5.11b whereas in the online guide that is flip-flopped.
Does anyone know which guide is correct?

Unless people feel that the should be changed, the printed book is correct. Centerfire is 11c and Reciever is 11b.

Changed. Thank you, Wes, and thank you Yasmeen for pointing this out. If this is indeed a ratings revision from John's guidebook, we will need to duke it out here before I change it again. :P

PS - those of you who have updates/corrections, please send them via PM. They are easier for me to keep track of that way. I will post any questions I may have about them here in this thread.

This is just personal opinion, but I think that if the 5.8 slab at Torrent ("Let's Destroy Ooh and Ahh") gets 2 stars, then the pocketed climb to the right of it ("Let's Destroy Let's Brachiate") should be a 3 star route. Maybe make the pocketed climb 2 stars and the slab 1? Anyone else have an opinion on this? It's not really that big of a deal.

Haha, no the slab doesn't suck, but I think the climb to the left is cooler, especially for new climbers, since it gives them a variety of stuff to do-- there's the initial scrambling up boulders, a little bit of a layback crack, the pockets, then screwy weird sequence at the end to frustrate them. :) The slab is just the same thing all the way up.
