Eight years to the day after Bush bombed Iraq, Barack bombs Libya. I wonder how Code Pink will respond.

Ah, apparently I should have made it clear that it was the best headline I've seen concerning our Noble Peace Prize Winner at War.

this meme is fucking hilarious.
so the right would rather Obama keep his left-slanted campaign promises than do an ideological about-face to meet the demands of the military-industrial oligarchy?

Wrong - in both of your suppositions.

somebody once proposed that the natural state of man is to be "at war" and that to be at peace is unnatural. I say there is no peace. Never was and never will be. It's just that every once in a while the normal back ground noise breaks out into a shooting war. You see, if you have anything more than the guy next to you, he'll try to take it from you. Whether its in an out-in-out fight or to talk or tax you out of it. We are at war...and always will be with the less fortunate (non-Americans). They want what we have and will try to take it from us. When these peaceniks get into office with actual power to change things, they see that our course is set and always will be.

"...never...never...always...always..."
it is soooo nice to see the hyper-complexity of geopolitics rendered absurdly simple in a single paragraph; especially in such stark and uncompromising terms.
"they see that our course is set and always will be."
teleology fail.
