Scary.
I had a scary, similiar moment while working on what became "Better Red Than Dead" with SCIN, Beta Bill, and Jeff. The roof is an offset crack, with the lower offset side having a very sharp, curling lip. I fell near the end of the roof, and in horror, watched the rope saw back and forth on the sharp edge, cutting through more with every pendulum. We didn't think at the time to begin lowering immediately to reduce the wear in one spot. We were all just a little frozen.

It's on tape somewhere... terrifying.

Steep sport climbing is way more fun.

That was scary. The fact that the roof was 80+ ft above the ground probably didn't help much.

whoa... it is amazing how the correct action to take seems so evident after the fact. accidents just happen so quick and your brain is so suprised it just freezes.
And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.
