Why you ask would a whole topic be created for Yasi ? Why not, she does more behind the scenes stuff for just about everything involving the Red than you can think of. I dont think she even knows everything she does.

So I wanted to take the time to tell her and hope that others let her know how much....

Though I appreciate all the work she does, I do want to warn everyone about this deceiving temptress. Yasi has campaigned diligently to paint herself as a hero to the climbing community. Working hard for the RRGCC, Online guide editor, and tons of other little things that she always makes sure to spray about in the most subtle of ways, but she does this for a reason.

One day when you are vulnerable, looking for someone to climb with at the red, she will ask if she can go to the red with you. Do NOT accept her offer. Notice how I didn't say that she will ask to climb with you. She pretends the whole time like she is going to climb with you, but as soon as you hit the exit for slade, the truth will come out. She will then inform you to drop her off with someone else and pick her up somewhere later. You will then be stuck with no partner. Don't even ask her if you can climb with her, because she will surely belittle you and make you feel like crap.

I know Brad will vouch for my sad tale.
















































p.s. the story is true, but Yasi is still awesome and deserves a lot of thanks.

Yea, she may possibly be the most widely traveled social butterfly of climbing I know, hopping from one partner to the next, "living the dream, man" in the only way a weekend warrior can.
And she knows how to work it too...with treats and kindness and flat out the best wit and humor you could possibly want with you all day at the crag.
Still, she will crush her project and yours while you can only sit and watch, wondering how in the world this kung fu noise making little girl is still holding on.
Most don't know that not only is she a bad ass climber but she is kicking ass in life all around. She is a powerhouse in her career too and also has a loving and awesome life with her man, her woofer, her house, yet she is just a young 28 year old so she totally has life by the balls.
Everything she does, she does well. It's in her blood and she knows no other way. If she can help she will and we are all so lucky to have her in our climbing community.
Each time I hang out with her, I feel like I've grown as a person. She challenges me to be a better person and pushes me to work hard and reach my goals. She's both a thinker and a doer which equals a high powered combination. Keep your eye on this girl, she will keep doing great things.
Now quit reading this crap and go train or learn something or teach something or help somone or make someone laugh. Honor the Yasmeen!!! Learn from her greatness!!!

A Yasi thread! A long time ago she asked me to show her how to build trad anchors. imediatly she was ticking off routes at my limit. I suspect shes ticking off 13's by now. I'm just a bit bummed I can't keep up with her. I think she's a machine or a cyborg or an alien or something the goverment created at area 51 and got loose on the climbing world.
