Under Armor/Constriction

Post by overhung »

Anyone else notice when you climb in Under Armor, and it's supposed to be snug, that you get forearm pump a lot faster than usual, and that it takes longer to de-pump afterwards?
I've had just about enough of this shit.

But it is warm. If I get cold, THEN I got constriction... and nobody wants that. Seriously, can the constriction contribute to lactic acid build-up, thus, the pump?

with any shirt that fits too tight in the arms you can have trouble recovering from a pump. I had to through out one of my bottom layers because I kept getting pumped wearing it.

Yeah, under armor pretty much sucks. If I fart it stays with me all fucking day...

"pump" is caused by the blood vessels in your arms being unable to handle the flow of the blood going in. Its a matter of plumbing more than strength. Lactic acid is caused by tearing the muscle in an anarobic manner. Basically you've run the engine without oil and you're burning metal-to-metal. You really feel it the next day...

It makes sense that you would feel more pumped with something constricting your blood flow on top of the normal swelling that occurs. If you really want to climb unaffected by pump then you should slit your wrists before climbing. That way your body doesn't have to fight itself to return the blood back to your lungs.
