Armaid = Donation to RRGCC

Post by Cromlech »

Has anyone else tried Armaid (www.armaid.com),

Last March, I partially tore my right bicep. It hadn’t fully healed before I started back with my normal training and climbing routine. I got into a cycle of partial recovery and re-injury and sought professional help to rehab my arm. The physical therapist I visited recommended I try Armaid. Apparently, it is common (if ironic) for massage therapists to develop chronic forearm issues. She saw a parallel to climbing injuries… I bought an Armaid at the beginning of September 2010 out of the pure frustration; I couldn’t climb. I was blown away by the results. I found more knots and sore spots in my forearms and elbows than I could have imagined. I used Armaid to break-up the scar tissue in my right bicep and released all the muscle tension around my elbows.

Armaid allowed me to start train and climbing again. Armaid enabled me to get back to climbing and flash Magnum Opus (yes, I know it's soft) and Super Best Friends by November 2010.

As I haven’t seen any other climbers using anything like Armaid, I was so impressed by the product I contacted Terry Cross the inventor and told him the above story. I told Terry about the climbing community and the RRGCC and he has agreed to make a donation to either the RRGCC or the Access Fund whenever a climber buys an Armaid. He is adding the donation buttons to his website. If the button isn't up yet please send him a note of you are a climber...

I am continuing to use armaid as part of my post training warm down.

Sounds cool. I shot Terry an email telling him I was looking for the "climber button".

Hey Bob, long time no speak, I thought it was a sound move on terry's part to offer to donate to the RRGCC.

I used my Armaid last night after training. I just modified my Treadwall to tilt to 40degress and Armaid seems to help my recovery.

Let me know what Terry says he's very responsive and loves feedback on his product.

looks like a great device for ancient overtrained frequently injured climbers like myself, another one of those times when you think "why didn't I think of that"

I've been using the device for the past couple of months. It's well built and a great concept. I had severe tendinitis in both elbows and both shoulders and from using this along with other therapeutic techniques the pain has been reduced about 80%. It comes with a DVD which is an easy watch and quickly explains how to use it depending on the symptoms you're experiencing. The only problem I had with it was the pin which holds the rollers on broke (my fault) but I was able to replace it with a plastic drywall anchor.

Mine is on its way, will let you know how I like it.

Anyway, they are donating 5% to RRGCC or Access Fund, your choice. They also donated an extra 5 bucks for me because they like climbers so much.

Does this mean Willie will be performing at the next Rocktoberfest?

Bob/Kipp, what do you think? Have you tried it?
Terry posted my testimonial on his website

Bob, I think you took the photo in 2005.
