Neglected dog needs a home!

This is Brown Dog. She appeared on our doorstep freezing, emaciated and starving, and clearly beaten to the point of injury. We've been feeding her and so she is hanging around.

Unfortunately, We have no room for brown dog, we already have too many dogs in our small apartment!

Brown dog is obedient and trained (she can sit, shake, lie down, and will come when you call). She will stay with you on a walk, even without a leash. She is a medium small dog, I'm not sure of the breed. Seems like she has red heeler in her, and maybe some chow. She is gentle and needs a home! I'm trying to find her an owner before the animal shelter comes to take her (certain death in this county). She is tough and strong, probably three years old or so.

I've been looking for someone to take her, but it's been weeks and no one seems to want her. People in the neighborhood have made complaints (no one here likes stray dogs), and the dog catcher has been called by many people nearby, and it is only a matter of time for Brown Dog.

If you would like to adopt Brown Dog, simply post a reply, send me a message, or post a comment.

Huggy! I don't want the dog, my cats would eat it... but we should get together sometime and catch up. I watched a Rabbit Hash documentary the other day that had Alexis's dad on it... thought of you guys.

Got to meet Brown Dog today and she's a sweetie. Would have taken her home but she and Banjo didn't hit it off so well.

Huggy - have you had the dog checked for a microchip? Usually your vet will do it for free. If he's registered it will say to whom. I know he was in bad shape and all but it's possible he was taken from his home then dumped. You never know.

I don't know man, I know her former owners. First she had a shitbag that beat her while she was pregnant, who then abandoned her, and she was 'adopted' by another shitbag who didn't feed her or give her water.

If anyone is interested for real, you would have to come pick her up. She already had a ride to Lexington, but she and Banjo didn't get along. If anyone is interested, speak now. I'm going to have to take her to the shelter before the week is up.
