He completely captures what it is like to fail while those around you succeed. The moral at the ending seems to be true, for me at least: you can't always force things to happen, fate happens on its own time schedule.

The suffering in Canyon Land has always had a unique appeal to me...

loosely analogous to the "one hang" at RRG.

I was able to relate from the standpoint that I am usually the weakest in the group, I have definite performance anxiety issues and while I also realize all these (and more) feelings should be nominal, they still creep into my psyche.

Lee, I don't know how you find the time to search out these inspirational nuggets, what with all your recent belay projects and then of course, the climbing itself... but thanks!

Through facebook. Not certain, but probably a link from Kris' page. And the people you climb with have some of the best lead heads in the game. You guys will go for stuff that makes me hesitant.
