Saturday, November 20, the Wolfe County SAR Team will be conducting a mock drill rescue at the new training area in Muir Valley. Although this is primarily a refresher drill for trained rope rescue techs, anyone interested in attending is welcome. The "victim" will have fallen into a deep, steep chasm, accessible only by a Kootenay highline - 120 feet across and 120 feet down. This scenario is designed to somewhat replicate two difficult past rescues that the team had to perform. We will start at 9 AM. Meet in the Muir Valley Parking Lot. The team needs new members - especially those who are "rock savvy." This is an opportunity for you to see if you have an interest in doing this kind of activity.

PM me if you will be attending.

That sounds like a real worthwhile event Rick. Wish I lived 400 miles closer to refresh on these skills with you. Hope you get some locals to jump on board for this one.
